Hiking

Whenever I go hiking with hfholidays I meet fellow Canadians. Pictured here is a group of Canadian women hiking in northern Italy. My husband and I have hiked in Spain and Japan with hf where we also met other Canadians.

In the Peak district we forged a river. Mostly Brits on that trip, but also a couple who share their time between Canada and Britain. On a trip through the Cotswolds I met a group of Canadian men who take annual hikes together with hfholidays. Often I take solo trips in Britain as my son settled there after marrying a British woman. Her father hikes with hf too.

In Montelupo I was fascinated to discover murals depicting many local folk tales about wolves. Since I was there to do research on a novel I was writing I incorporated the wolves tales into my story. The hikers got a mention, too, in Isadora & Lucia.
